Ensure Scannability
A QR code is only useful if it works. Follow these rules for print success:
1. Size Matters
Don't print smaller than 2x2 cm (0.8x0.8 inches). For scanning further away, increase the size. A good rule of thumb is a 10:1 distance-to-size ratio.
2. High Contrast
Always ensure there is high contrast between the QR code (dark) and the background (light). Inverted codes (light on dark) can verify often fail with older scanners.
3. Quiet Zone
Leave a margin (quiet zone) around the QR code. This white space allows the scanner to detect the edges of the code.
